Anthony Arya is an indie folk artist from the San Francisco Bay Area. His emotionally charged vocals and captivating live performances blend folk, rock and pop. Delivering poetic grit and energetic anthems, Anthony channels the sound of LA's Laurel Canyon to a modern era. He gained popularity at 16 after his appearances on NBC’s The Voice. By the time he turned 20 he had already received numerous awards for his songwriting including Presidential Scholar in the Arts, International Songwriting Competition Finalist (multiple), International Acoustic Music Awards Finalist, and Bluebird Cafe Golden Pick Contest Winner.
Now 23, he has released 4 full length albums. Committed to his fanbase performing weekly live shows, these songs propelled him through 150+ shows yearly in 2024/2025 headlining well known venues and festivals throughout the West Coast. In Feb 2026 Anthony released a new acoustic single Sugar On Your Shades - live takes of the song already had amassed over one million views across social media platforms. More songs are planned to be waterfall-released throughout the year with a new album by the end of 2026.
Skip Pas host for the interview , How did this all start? How did you find out about North Beach Leather ?
Anthony Arya: I knew about North Beach Leather from my mom Kamela who was a client of the brand in the 1990's and owned several outfits from this time. My mom left such an impression about how cool leather was for musicians to wear when they preformed and I started at such a young age I was always in to the Elvis Presley Look and those cool leather pants he wore in the Comeback Special in 1968. My mom had a DVD of Elvis Presley Comeback Special in his best look ever so growing I watched that dvd hundreds of times.
Skip Pas: So that's crazy, what was the first instrument you played and how old were you?
Anthony Arya: I was in third grade and after school Rock Band and sang songs like Proud Mary by CCR and Tighten Up by the Black Keys beside singing lead vocals I also was the drummer.
Skip Pas: So I found out about you from our Manager Joe Crane. He tells me he is working some custom pieces for a new young local rock singer and I remember he kept saying "Anthony" and he needed custom leather pants and custom jackets to perform in. Joe showed him all the pictures of our celebrity clientele and he saw the picture of Elvis which really excited he so he was fitted for the leather pants which he loved when he received them
